Moment Factor
Moment Factor describes defined, technically impressive, often improvised musical moments that stand out during a performance or arrangement. Moment Factor primerally refers to live performances, though it can apply to recorded music as well. These moments often generate loud applause from an audience or provoke involuntary expressions of astonishment or being impressed.
These moments are typically associated with The Thing, and are widely considered to be among the most inspiring musical happenings an aspiring musician can experience.
Moment Factor can be used to describe the general concept or describe a degree to which one feels that a musical gesture, performance, or artist/band in general contains moment factor. "the moment factor of that line was insane", "this band has insane moment factor", "moment factor is why I go to live shows".
