Mass Jazz Exodus
The Mass Jazz Exodus (MJE) is the prognosis that a great migration from the Jazz community to the Fizz community will take place.
Does a Fizz song that reminds people of Charles Mingus exist? F*ck no. Fizz musicians revere and take inspiration from artists like Jacob Collier, KNOWER, Bill Wurtz, etc. These are some of many artists who crafted specific sounds that people who make Fizz love to inject in their songs. A lot of Gen-Z music enjoyers love those particular sounds, yet they're somehow labeled as Jazz fans even though those artists don't sound anything like Louis Armstrong or Miles Davis, and they don't want to listen to music that sounds like them either.
This is due to the Jazz Imperial Complex, the system in which an unfairly large amount of music with complex elements is sucked into the landscape of Jazz. The traditional purists chastise upcoming Jazz musicians about sticking to tradition and venerating Jazz history, but Fizz highlights the importance of pushing music forward, making good musical decisions and experimenting with new sounds. People who are more interested in the latter should not be forcibly roped into the former.
Fizz believes that because of this conflict, the MJE will occur and Gen-Z listeners will identify with the genre they feel most represented by. This will not only provide more of a community for the listeners to relate to, but it will eliminate the opportunity for Jazz purists to castigate them for their music taste not aligning with the origins of Jazz.
