Often beginning with “POV you’re in a shred battle…”, The meme format describing over-top-top, absurd hypothetical shred battles between Fizz and Jazz musicians was first seen on October 20, 2025. With many other accounts posting reels inspired by Fizzmemes, reels with this format have garnered over 1 million views in total.
Controversy
Fizzmemes has a history of stirring up the pot with neighboring communities, including starting a heated meme war with indiejazzmemes, posting offensive wojaks of musician stereotypes like Mike and Clud, and posting viral reels (ironically) mocking Fizz-adjacent artists like Jesus Molina and Louis Cole. The account has also been criticized for using shock humor, often going above and beyond what you would find on other sizeable Jazz/Jazz-adjacent meme pages.
