Flamchaining

Flamchaining is when a sharp sidechain dip occurs directly after a transient in the track being sidechained, creating an unpleasant “flam”. This usually happens when the sidechain, or the track being sidechained isn’t quantized.
If done carefully, this typically undesirable effect can be used by producers to create interesting effects.
“I think the guitar is getting flamchained.”
