The Great Slop Reset

The Great Slop Reset refers to the idea that all pieces of human made artistic output that previously could have been considered slop all lost their slop status the day GenAI output in those artistic fields begin flooding the internet, all of which automatically falls into the slop catigory due to being AI rather than human.

The word slop is still going to be used to describe low effort, trashy, or cliche human output because it is still a useful term, but this is just a useful fiction, unlike genAI output, which is going to always tell a worse story than anything a human made, no matter how how it comforms to our cultural cannon of what makes good art.
